About Maine Strong Memorial Foundation
The Maine Strong Memorial Foundation was established in light of the mass shooting that took place in Lewiston, ME on October 25th, 2023. Two of the victims, Joe Walker and Ron Morin, were staples within the Lewiston/Auburn softball community. What started as a small softball tournament to raise money for the families of Joe and Ron, evolved into a (25) team tournament, sponsored by Hammond Lumber Company, to support the families of the (18) victims and survivors.
